In addition, all of the titles have strong connections to the middle school curriculum and lend themselves to educational extensions. Chapters cover: biographies; English--classics; English usage; fine arts; recent releases; high interest/low reading level material; mathematics; multicultural literature; myths, folktales, and legends; poetry; read-alouds; science; U.S. history; ancient and early cultures; sports and games; and unique presentations. Complete bibliographic information and annotations are included for each title. Curriculum links are noted for each book, and a reference chart lists all titles with their pertinent curriculum categories. An author-title index is included. (DLS)
