The book is divided into two modules: (1) "The World Wide Web: Your Entree to the Internet" and (2) "Other Internet Services." Specifically the book includes: a disk containing World Wide Web resources; instruction in Netscape and Internet Explorer navigation; exercises in using Web search engines and subject directories to find specific information, using Telnet to search library catalogs, using e-mail to join a discussion group, and other information; using file transfer protocol (FTP) to transfer files; and using Gopher to find nongraphical information. An appendix introduces the main features on the Internet Explorer browser and how they relate to Netscape. Contains an index. (AEF)
