Chapter 3, "Development of a Foundation for Restructuring," examines the major theoretical perspectives in human psychology underlying the restructuring movement. Chapter 4, "Defining Outcomes for Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment," focuses on the practical concerns of how restructuring affects the core technology of schools. The authors suggest that educators initiate a visionary approach for desired student outcomes. Chapter 5, "Altering School Structures To Build Collaborative Cultures," addresses the importance of designing meaningful relationships within internal and external components of the learning community. Chapter 6, "Putting It All Together," is an annotated bibliography that summarizes recent key resources on restructuring. Resource manuals, video tapes, audio tapes, and textbooks are included.
