The study compared the library Web sites of public supported HBCUs with Web sites of other public supported institutions in the southeastern United States. It was found that most HBCU libraries used their Web sites mainly to provide information about the library and its collections. The article provides some recommendations on what HBCU libraries can do to improve their Web sites to better serve their users. A table compares selected features of HBCU and non-HBCU library Web sites. (Author/MES)
