Access to Information Financial Support Grants Libraries Library Funding Library Planning Library Services Objectives Program Improvement State Programs Strategic Planning This plan is intended to: summarize for the Board of Regents, the State Education Department, New York State libraries, agencies and organizations with an interest in library services, and interested citizens of the State, the goals, priorities, activities, and evaluation methodology of the programs undertaken for the improvement of library services under the Federal Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA); serve as a guide to library systems, libraries and consortia that wish to participate in the LSTA program; and meet the requirements of the Federal Library Services and Technology Act and the Institute for Museum and Library Services (IMLS) for an August 1, 1997 filing date for a five-year plan.
