Every Time I Figure Out Where It's At, Somebody Moves It! Prime, Eugenie Academic Libraries Change Strategies Futures (of Society) Higher Education Information Technology Institutional Cooperation Library Development Library Planning Library Role Library Services Organizational Change Strategic Planning This address focuses on technological change, the Information Age, and the relevance of libraries. Highlights include: creating a shared vision; adding value to information services; sharing organizational values; forging strategic alliances with vendors and suppliers; reallocating resources; and responding to change with flexibility. The speech argues that information managers must be bold in their decisions about the future of technology. It suggests that librarians should devote more of their time to consult outside of the library, and that librarians should reconsider the physical structures of their libraries. (MES)
