Part 1, "Library Instruction as Performance," is devoted to the presentation techniques that are the basis for good instruction. Chapters in this part cover performance anxiety, taming teaching terror, preparing oneself physically, mental preparation, organizational preparation, and performance tempo. Part 2, "Composing Classes," discusses approaches to library classes themselves. The chapters in this part address a philosophy of library instruction, preparing the class outline, interaction versus structure, classroom dynamics, and learning from teaching. A concluding chapter is entitled "What Every Successful Teacher Knows." Contains an index. (MES)
