It contains information on facilities and land, finance, staff, college/student services, the Library, athletics, academic calendars, maps, and instructional programs. This report reflects the college structure as of September 1999 and includes the college Mission, Philosophy, Enduring Purposes, Core Indicators of Institutional Effectiveness, and Sprit of Service. College of DuPage is the largest single campus, two-year college in the United States. The enrollment for fall quarter 1999 is 34,073. There are 49 occupational programs and 45 transfer area programs offered. The college has a total of 2,458 classified staff, faculty, and administrators. The college is guided by seven Enduring Purposes: basic education, cultural opportunities, developmental education, general education, lifelong learning opportunities, occupational education, and transfer preparation. The Core Indicators of Institutional Effectiveness are key measurable outcomes that are used to assess how well the college is accomplishing the Enduring Purposes. Some of the Core Indicators are as follows: student goal attainment, persistence, degree completion rates, placement rate in the workforce, employer assessment of students, number and rate of transfers, performance after transfer, success of developmental students, and community satisfaction and programs/services and responsiveness to assessed needs.
