The first paper discusses the process and procedures for creating and revising the ISBD (International Standard Bibliographic Description), including historical background from 1969 to the present, a description of revision projects, and a chart that summarizes the history and current status of the full range of ISBDs to date. The second paper reviews activities of the IFLA (International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions) Section on Bibliography for 1999-2000. Highlights include the scope of the section, membership of the section and standing committee, officers and Information Coordinator, the action plan 2000-2001, and conference programs and workshops.
