The first part discusses the interest in cataloging and its harmonization at the international level that is shared by libraries throughout the world, including the section's work on development and maintenance of cataloging standards and guidelines. The second part covers membership and the standing committee. The third part describes recent publications, including: "Structures of Corporate Name Headings: Final Report,""Guidelines for Authority Records and References," and journal articles. The fourth part addresses relevant pages on IFLANet (IFLA's World Wide Web site). The final parts describe current and recent projects, including work on ISBD (International Standard Book Description) and FRBR (Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records). (MES)
