Full and/or interim report summaries are provided for advising procedures, library resources, and for the following departments: Accounting, Automated Office, Office Systems Technology, Health Care Secretary, Computer Technology, Marketing, and Small Business Management. The document also discusses FDTC's nursing programs, stating that 2000-2001 saw the implementation of a new curriculum design in this area. Report highlights include: (1) the college expects to take advantage of current technological advances in education to increase academic advising policies in favor of student services; (2) the library expects to continue to pursue its goals of providing additional services and increasing its print and non-print holdings; (3) in 2002-2003, the library will pursue participation in a statewide virtual library (PASCAL) to increase FCTC's access to collections from all South Carolina public and private institutions; (3) the Accounting Department expects to develop and enhance its Internet courses and have the entire program online by mid-2002; (4) graduates in the Automated Office Department curriculum demonstrated success in keying competencies related to real-world requirements; and (5) all of the Office Systems Technology graduates recently surveyed were placed in jobs relating to their program of study. This document also contains a list of national institutional and specialized accrediting bodies recognized by the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education, results of professional examinations, and data on additional examinations.
