Kids are introduced to the concept of electron shells and how they are involved in the bonding of atoms, and why some elements are highly reactive while others are very stable. Includes fun visuals, colorful graphics and a hands-on activity, which demonstrates that different elements have different chemical properties. This program is based on the concepts outlined in the National Science Education Standards for Physical Science: Properties and Changes of Properties of Matter, Motions and Forces and Transfer of Energy.
