This guide, in English- and Spanish-language versions, provides suggestions for parents of 3- to 5-year-olds and focuses on visiting the library. The guide begins with tips for visiting the library, such as asking for information about story hours and other free family events, and about homework help for older children. A "Library Bingo" game serves to orient the child and parent to a particular library, and a library log provides a reminder to return items to the library prior to their due date. The guide concludes with suggestions for talking with children about books they like to help children develop speaking and thinking skills. (KB)
