  • Libraries of Rovigno/Rovinj Istria/Istra, Croatia: European Border Cultures Kuntz, Patricia S. Foreign Countries Study Abroad Librarians Libraries Library Services Library Materials Academic Libraries Agency Cooperation Library Networks International Cooperation This article was written to inform North American students and scholars about library resources in Rovinj, Croatia. It deals with study abroad programs and potential library linkages. Seven libraries were identified and librarians from each library were interviewed to learn about scope and services. Of the seven libraries visited, two provided materials in Croatian, four materials in Italian, and one group of materials in English. Rovinj librarians acknowledged that they could collaborate more among themselves and with North American students on study abroad programs. In addition, librarians viewed the study abroad program as a method of developing exchanges of staff and materials. Appended are: (1) Interviews; (2) Libraries; (3) Glossary; (4) Timeline of Rovinj; and (5) Rovinj Libraries.
