contents ARL Annual Salary Survey, 2004-05 Kyrillidou, Martha, Ed. Young, Mark, Ed. Professional Personnel North Americans Salaries Research Libraries Librarians Library Services College Libraries Law Libraries Medical Libraries The "ARL Annual Salary Survey 2004-05" reports salary data for all professional staff working in Association of Research Libraries (ARL) libraries. The ARL represents the interests of libraries that serve major North American research institutions. The Association operates as a forum for the exchange of ideas and as an agent for collective action to influence forces affecting the ability of these libraries to meet the future needs of scholarship. The ARL Statistics and Measurement program, which produces the "Salary Survey," is organized around collecting, analyzing, and distributing quantifiable information describing the characteristics of research libraries. The ARL Annual Salary Survey is the most comprehensive and thorough guide to current salaries in large U.S. and Canadian academic and research libraries, and is a valuable management and research tool. The following are appended: (1) ARL Member Libraries; and (2) Table Numbering Changes for 1998-1999 to 1999-2000. (Contains 48 tables.)
