Data are presented on collections, expenditures, and personnel and public services. Out of 113 ARL university libraries, 66 responded to this survey. Health Sciences libraries reported median values of 235,225 volumes held and 4,676 gross volumes added. The full-time equivalent of 2,550 staff were employed by these libraries during the year. Responding libraries reported total expenditures of $224,697,410. Library materials made up the largest portion of that total, with 43.47% of aggregated expenses falling under that category. Health Sciences libraries reported a total of $34,135,193 on electronic materials, or a median of 36.05% of their total materials budgets. This includes a total of $32,473,238 on electronic serials.
