Focus On Molineaux, Rebecca Teacher Role School Libraries Librarians Librarian Teacher Cooperation Cooperative Planning Teamwork Media Specialists Library Role Today's schools--and today's teachers--are looking for strategies that help them address challenges inherent in ensuring all students meet standards. A key is identifying and making maximum use of all possible resources available in the school. The media center is one of these, as is the media center specialist. Teachers can help ensure their students benefit from these resources by working collaboratively with their school's librarian. This issue of "Focus On" discusses the role of librarians--media center specialists--working in today's schools. It examines the ways teachers and librarians can collaborate to ensure the school library is an effective resource for students and for the school's instructional program.
