This publication is the first time papers from this Micronesian regional library and archives conference have ever been published. The conference addressed various topics of interest to librarians, archivists and teachers throughout the region. The volume begins with opening remarks of Lorenzo I. De Leon Guerrero, the Governor of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. The papers that follow are "Reading Motivation in the Pacific" by Marilyn Camacho-Salas; "Fund Raising" by Lee Webber; "Public Relations" by Lee Webber; "Selected Health Reference Services for the Non-Health Sciences Library by Irene Lovas; "Children's Library Services in Pohnpei" by Nel Lawson; "More Books for the Buck" by Richard Meldrom; "Small Archives for Librarians and Curators" Garth Crockford; and the volume ends with "Computers: Access to the University of Guam Library and the Internet" by Arlene Cohen.
