The purpose of study was to get in depth understanding about main characteristics and trends of academic job market in Library and Information science field. The study focused on web-based version announcement as it was fast, moderate and reliable. The study focused on one of the worldwide and most used web site in the Library and Information Science field; ALISE (Association for Library and Information Science Education). The study adopted the quantitative methodology collecting thirty nine academic announcements including sixty positions on ALISE and were posted in a six months period. One appendix is includes: Web-Based Announcement At ALISE Organization. (Contains 17 footnotes, 8 forms/figures, and 9 tables.)
