USAC administers the Universal Service Fund and the four Universal Service programs: High Cost, Low Income, Rural Health Care, and Schools and Libraries, which are dedicated to ensuring that all Americans receive the benefits of affordable and efficient access to telecommunications and information services. Working closely with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and the stakeholders, USAC has helped make universal service possible. This paper presents the activities of USAC in 2008.
