contents A Handbook of Educational Associations and Foundations in the United States. Bulletin, 1926, No. 16 Educational History Guides National Organizations International Organizations Teacher Associations Organizational Objectives Adult Education Postsecondary Education Higher Education Professional Education Elementary Secondary Education Vocational Education International Education Intellectual Disciplines African American Education Womens Education Child Health Disabilities Teacher Education Educational Administration Rural Education With the increasing interest in education in recent years, there has been a corresponding growth in the number of associations and foundations engaged in various ways in the promotion of education. So rapid has been this growth that it has become difficult to keep in touch with the activities of these organizations. With this multiplication of independent organizations, a need is felt in many quarters for some action calculated to bring about a coordination of effort and eliminate to a certain degree much of the duplication resulting from rapid growth. In response to an urgent demand for information concerning such organizations, it was thought advisable to collect into one volume certain facts concerning each, their purposes, publications, conditions of membership, etc. The accompanying manuscript contains the material which the bureau has been able to bring together on the subject. [Prepared in the Library Division. Best copy available has been provided.]
