An Approach to the Measurement of Use and Cost of a Large Academic Research Library System: A Report of a Study Done at Columbia University Libraries Mount, Ellis Fasana, Paul College Libraries Cost Effectiveness Costs Instruction Library Expenditures Library Surveys Research Research Libraries Use Studies A description of the methodology used in collecting performance data in a large academic research library is given. Twelve types of surveys used to measure and evaluate users, services, and materials were developed.
