- E-Portfolios for Reflective Practice, Advocacy, and Professional Growth Keller, Cynthia Portfolios (Background Materials) Electronic Publishing School Libraries Librarians Internet Advocacy Professional Development Reflection An e-portfolio is an organized collection of professional work (artifacts), selected and reflected upon by the author, that represents a person's best efforts. Over time, an e-portfolio will reflect professional changes and growth. This article discusses some of the reasons for a school librarian to create an e-portfolio. Before creating an e-portfolio, librarians need to have a specific purpose in mind and know how the e-portfolio will be used. The reasons for creating electronic versus print are discussed, and a list of free resources for effective e-portfolios are provided. (Contains 1 figure.)
