The module provides students with a realistic experience of how information architects apply their skills to produce usable web sites, via a project to produce a documented Virtual Research Environment for information architecture researchers. The article discusses the importance of both information architecture and Virtual Research Environments to LIS education and explains how the module achieves its aims.
