Measures (Individuals) Librarians Nursing Education Psychometrics Feasibility Studies Electronic Learning Distance Education Test Reliability Test Validity Content Validity Academic Libraries Nursing Students Undergraduate Students Graduate Students A cross-sectional descriptive design was used to examine the initial psychometric properties and feasibility of the newly developed Levey-Nowak Embedded Librarian Presence Instrument. The instrument was structured by a literature review identifying reoccurring concepts of presence, helpfulness, confidence, and collaboration within the embedded librarian pedagogy. Face and content validity were established before the preliminary study. A total of 27 Registered Professional Nurses in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Completion Program were recruited to participate and resulted in a Cronbach's alpha of 0.75. The instrument was advanced to the next phase of psychometric assessment using exploratory factor analysis.
