- A Double Shot of Information Literacy Instruction at a Community College Henry, Jo Glauner, Dana Lefoe, Grant Community Colleges Information Literacy Library Instruction Program Effectiveness Program Implementation College English Educational Change Academic Libraries Pretests Posttests Student Surveys Participant Satisfaction Research Skills This study analyzes the effectiveness of implementing four information literacy sessions within two different English classes in a community college setting. The study found significant improvement in the comfort level of students starting, researching, and writing papers. Additionally, students showed an increased understanding in areas of pre-searching, researching, Website analysis, and Google advanced search. The results provide insight into the effectiveness of expanding from one shot information literacy instruction to multiple interactive instructional sessions at a community college.
