This work became known as the Lilead Project (rhymes with "Gilead"). Through research grants from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, the authors conducted their first survey in 2012 and a second survey of roughly the same population in 2014. Through these surveys, they created a functional, working definition for the position of the supervisor. In this article the authors will look at that working definition and compare it to the role of the supervisor as detailed in the National School Library Standards. |
