Unsatisfied with patron count metrics like "total patron count" and "capacity used", we implemented a statistic titled "expected usage" to quantify utilization of sections with proper context. The library made creative, cost-effective adjustments, and additions to seating in this section of the library, leading to anecdotally heavier usage; gate counts for the spring 2019 semester increased over 15% from spring 2018. |
