Technology Acceptance and Integration to Engage More Students Hu, Haihong Wake, Donna Miller, Rachelle School Libraries Librarians Technology Uses in Education Technology Integration Learner Engagement Elementary Secondary Education Graduate Students Library Education Electronic Learning Student Attitudes Technological Literacy Preservice Teachers Experiential Learning The constant evolution of technology requires continuous development for school librarians supporting K-12 education in the work of technology integration. This article examines school library candidates' responses to various methods for teaching literacy via created media products as they engaged in an online graduate-level Library Media course. Library candidates were provided with supplemental professional development (PD) on digital learning applications to update their technology skills based on Kolb's Experiential Learning model. Findings from this comparative mixed-methods study evaluated the effects of the PD and found candidates improved significantly in technology acceptance as a result of the intervention and applied their new skills by creatively integrating new technology into practice through collaboration with partner teachers seeking to increase student engagement.
