- You're Gonna Hear Me Roar: Speaking out against Censorship Efforts in My Community Amanda Jones Censorship School Libraries Librarians Privacy Public Libraries Political Attitudes Court Litigation As a school librarian, the author has paid close attention to legislation and book banning efforts across the United States over the past few years. Because their focus had been on school libraries, they hadn't really thought about censorship and book banning efforts in public libraries. After speaking out at a library board meeting, the author was targeted by a political-activist group whose goal seems to be destroying public libraries. This article describes the author's experience after their personal information was shared on social medial and their efforts to stop the spread.
