Librarians are being called upon to support this work through consultation, instruction, and/or performing the systematic search on behalf of the research team. Professional development is essential for librarians to develop their skills and to build confidence when it comes to providing SR support to researchers. This article reports on a survey of American and Canadian academic librarians serving the Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences. Participants' responses indicate their knowledge of SR support activities and identify potential areas to focus on for future training and professional development. |
