The libraries at a large research university created ten standalone information literacy courses in a learning management system (LMS) to be used as supplemental materials in credit-bearing courses. This article will outline the creation of the modules, the success in adoption by teaching faculty, and how a review of Canvas analytics was used as a road map to identify improvements to be made to the courses. It can serve as a case study for other academic libraries looking to create or improve information literacy modules using analytics available through learning management systems.
