  • Linked Data Adoption in University Libraries in Uganda: The Potential Benefits Winny Akullo Zawedde Nsibirwa Foreign Countries Academic Libraries Data Access to Information Library Services Private Colleges Librarians This study explored the potential benefits of Linked Data adoption in Ugandan university libraries, focusing on its ability to make hidden library data globally accessible via the Web. Using the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) framework, specifically the Performance expectancy construct, a survey was conducted with 67 librarians from seven private universities. Data was analyzed using SPSS. The findings revealed that librarians agreed that Linked Data could enhance user search experiences and enrich overall data when linked across libraries. The study encourages university libraries to adopt Linked Data for its potential benefits.
