contents For-Credit Library Instruction: Exploring the Experiences of Academic Librarians Serving as Instructors of Record Elizabeth Nelson Angela R. Davis Library Instruction College Credits Academic Libraries Librarians Librarian Attitudes This article shares the initial results of an exploratory project to both survey and speak to librarians who serve as instructors of record at a variety of North American institutions to understand the perspectives and experiences of those teaching for-credit instruction. Particular attention was given to how well librarians feel they are supported as for-credit instructors of record, and if they find for-credit instruction to be of value for themselves, their library, their students, and their institution. The exploratory results can be used to shape future directions of librarian-led instruction and related research.
