Cataloging Comparative Analysis Differences Information Processing Libraries Publications Tables (Data) Details a study undertaken to determine the amount and nature of discrepancies between Cataloging in Publication (CIP) entries and Library of Congress copy on a sample of 620 titles. Significant differences occurred on 24.1 percent of the sample. Recommendations are made for closer parity between Library of Congress' CIP Office and cooperating publishers. (SW)
