Academic Achievement Junior High School Students Secondary Education Skill Development Social Studies Success Discusses a study undertaken to determine why so many junior high school students with no obvious learning disabilities received failing grades in social studies. The study concluded that there were several possible sources of problems, including student lack of necessary skills to organize their ideas and write papers and lack of instruction on conducting library research.
