College Libraries Formative Evaluation Higher Education Instructional Design Library Instruction Material Development Production Techniques Questionnaires Research Libraries Student Attitudes Student Motivation Summative Evaluation Undergraduate Students Videotape Recordings The Library Instruction course at Iowa State University was redesigned to improve its effectiveness and increase student motivation. Data collected during the fall 1981 semester demonstrate that four videotapes produced for the purpose of improving student attitudes toward library are having a positive effect.
