Freels, Judy Kruse, Claire Richards, David Sophiea, Laura Change Elementary Secondary Education Librarians Library Administration Library Development Library Role Marketing Media Specialists Publicity School Districts School Libraries School library media specialists (SLMSs) in the Rochester (Michigan) Community Schools decided it was crucial to come to a consensus about key roles of SLMSs in successful school library media programs. They identified the following roles: information specialist, instructional partner, and program administrator. To educate administrators, staff members, and community members, they created a brochure promoting the school library media program. (AEF)
