  • Little Boy Blue Goes High-Tech: Providing Customers with Topic-Driven Content King, David Internet Web Sites Public Libraries Library Services Electronic Libraries Information Retrieval Online Searching In an attempt to make the Kansas City Public Library's Web site more user friendly, the Web team took an opportunity to completely redesign the site. This article describes the techniques that the team used to organize and design the new Web site. By adopting a guided approach to the Internet, they were able to streamline their Web links and better serve the Library's patrons. The article concludes that by identifying popular topics and by placing the Web site's original content on topic-driven pages, customers are saved a lot of time and frustration by providing a lot of good information in one place.
