- LITA National Forum 2004: Where Are We Going? Where Have We Been? Newsline Reports McCann, Steve Meyer, Stephen Information Technology Library Automation Internet The recent Library & Information Technology Association (LITA) National Forum was held in October in St. Louis, a city that was very focused on the present. The Cardinals were on their way to winning the National League Pennant, and across town, at Washington University, the presidential candidates were on stage with the second of their three presidential debates. The theme for this year's conference was "10 Years of Connectivity: Libraries, the World Wide Web, and the Next Decade," and participating librarians found themselves thinking of the past and dreaming of the future. This article presents a review of a few of the highlights.
