Although President Bush's education reform law is written with teachers in mind, media specialists have an equally important role to play in improving student achievement--particularly when it comes to reading. They simply need to carve out relevant tasks for themselves since the law does not spell them out. This article discusses the No Child Left Behind Act and how teachers can learn from it and become a more indispensable educator.
