Recommended books may not be available in the school or local libraries, and budget constraints may prohibit extensive new purchases. So, what's a teacher to do? Building a classroom library isn't simply a matter of accumulating as many interesting-looking books on science as possible. The authors offer the suggestions in this article as a guide to building a purposeful classroom library that supports successful student learning outcomes and makes lesson planning easier.
