contents	Wi-Fi Versus Cell Phone Service Roberts, Gary Telecommunications Behavior Internet Technological Advancement Library Services Libraries Regardless of whether cell phones remain the dominant platform or Wi-Fi becomes the prevalent platform, there are some things that libraries can do to improve patron service in light of evolving expectations, behaviors, and tools. People today are more nomadic, which leads to the very real possibility of having to deliver content not just to the Web, but also to mobile devices with small screens. Separating content from format will allow libraries to programmatically render content in many different formats--graphic-rich pages for Web browsers and text-only displays for smaller screens. While this type of project is time-consuming, it will allow the library to deliver content to a variety of devices, while saving the staff a lot of effort in the long run.
