contents A New Curriculum for a New Age Crompton, Marielizabeth Curriculum Development School Districts Integrated Curriculum Educational Technology Library Services Media Literacy Curriculum Design Interdisciplinary Approach Elementary Secondary Education As most school districts do, the Groton Public School District of Groton, Connecticut, revises curriculum on a rotating basis. As both Director of Instructional Technology and of Library Media Services, this author has been responsible for driving the revisions of both these curricula. Previously these two concepts were considered separate but this past summer, as two distinct committees proceeded with curriculum revision, it was soon realized that the integration of instructional technology and library media was the vision for this school district. Both committees merged to create what eventually would be called the "Groton Public Schools K-12 Information and Technology Literacy Curriculum." The result, described here, is a curriculum that embodies a 21st century information and technology literacy vision for students.
