- Rustling Up a Web Site without Much Money Warrington, Anne Greig, Debra College Libraries Web Sites Computer System Design Budgets Foreign Countries Lakeland College, a small rural institution on the Canadian prairies, used to face the dilemma of needing a Web presence without having the funds, staff, and technology infrastructure to support it. This article relates how Lakeland's librarian hired ShirWin Knowledge & Learning Systems, Inc., a small software company based in Edmonton, Alberta. Details of the collaboration between the library staff and ShirWin's people to come up with an affordable customized Web site are presented. Tips on how other companies may develop their Web sites on shoestring budgets are also discussed.
