contents Two Approaches to Surfacing Full-Text News on an Intranet Jones, Barrett Maslyukova, Elena Electronic Libraries Internet Databases International Organizations Online Vendors Case Studies Information Technology Information Networks Library Networks Program Development Systems Development Integrating news services into an intranet can be tricky. Even within related organizations, slight differences in subscriptions and end-user needs can necessitate different integration approaches. This article examines how the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund took separate approaches to tackle the same integration challenge in opting for using Factiva. It is hoped that the lessons that these government librarians learned--to think outside the limits of the vendor and to keep full documentation of the process--could benefit other organizations.
