These letters stand for federal laws about which library media specialists must have a basic knowledge in order to effectively fulfill their responsibilities. In this article, the author discusses some of the copyright laws, the children's INTERNET protection acts, and the laws that impact how students with special needs are educated in schools and how they use their school libraries.
