This article takes a closer look at several accrediting organizations such the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) which is part of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA), the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSC), the Southern Association of colleges and Schools (SACS), the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), the New England Association of Schools & Colleges, Inc. (NEASC), and Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU).
