Committees Outreach Programs Faculty Development College Faculty Library Services Web Based Instruction Technology Integration Computer Uses in Education Liberal Arts Cooperative Learning Student Centered Curriculum Creating opportunities to share student learning and assessment resources with faculty face- to-face can be a daunting challenge. At Northern Arizona University (NAU) in Flagstaff, Arizona, leaders representing six different service units and committees have developed a collaborative approach of "unite and conquer," in which the human, technical, and financial resources of six service units and institutional committees were combined to produce an informative outreach program for some 1,100 full-time and part-time faculty members. The initial goals of the program were to: (1) describe library resources and services; faculty development workshops; available assistance with Web-based instruction and technology-enhanced learning; and services and resources pertaining to classroom and program-level assessment; (2) promote the benefits and best practices of learner-centered education and assessment; and (3) share the learner-centered approach of NAU's liberal studies (general education) program and promote awareness of liberal studies. A discussion of the program's organizing strategy is followed by an overview of successes, challenges, and lessons learned.
