Those were just some of the questions posed to a group of librarians in a recent focus group conducted in Washington, D.C., by consultant Rita Scheman for the Society for Scholarly Publishing (SSP). Some of the insights shared by the focus group panelists concerns the following: (1) Contingency planning; (2) Going where the users are; (3) Extending digital offerings to ebooks; (4) Digitization and publishing initiatives; and (5) Factors in the buy decision. |
